City of Apopka: Camp Wewa SurveyThe City of Apopka is exploring the possibility of purchasing Camp Wewa from the Central Florida YMCA. Due to the financial losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the YMCA has to sell the summer camp. This historical property has been operated as a camp since 1947. Rather than see it purchased by a developer and turned into a housing project, the City is undertaking an endeavor to raise the necessary funds to purchase the 70-acre lake-front property and keep it as a permanent green space.
As part of the exploratory process, the City would like to get your thoughts about the purchase of the property and its potential uses. Please take a few minutes to respond to the following survey.
We are asking all responses be returned by 8 AM on Monday, February 1, 2021, to meet the State's deadline for our grant application.
