[ARCHIVED] Apopka Youth Council Recycling Video

The Apopka Youth Council worked with Public Services to create a video about recycling in Apopka. The goal of the Apopka Youth Council in 2020 is to help improve community knowledge on sustainability.

Special thanks to The City of Apopka, Apopka Solid Waste Operations, and Waste Management. 

List of Recyclable and Non-Recyclable Items

  • Yes to Cans: Aluminum and Steel Cans
  • Yes to Cartons: Food and Beverage Cartons
  • Yes to Glass: Bottles and Jars empty and rinsed
  • Yes to Paper: Mixed paper, newspaper, magazines, and flattened cardboard
  • Yes to Plastic: Kitchen, laundry, bath: bottles and containers
  • No to Hazardous waste containers or electronics
  • No Hoses
  • No Styrofoam
  • No Soiled food containers
  • No Plastic bags, bagged items, shrink wrap, or juice pouches
