[ARCHIVED] Garbage & Recycling Pickup Day Change for Select Residents

Garbage Container City of Apopka Update in Pickup

City of Apopka Residents in the areas listed below will have a new garbage and recycling pickup day beginning March 3, 2020. For those listed, your garbage will not be picked up on Monday, March 2, 2020.

The following areas will be affected:

  • Winged Foot
  • Pines of Wekiva including Park Avenue Pines
  • Spring Harbor
  • Apopka Terrace: These streets between Rock Springs Road and Lake Avenue
    • Albatross Street
    • Bob White Street
    • Thrush Street
    • Nightingale Street
    • Sandpiper Street
    • Skylark Street
  • Welch Road  (The south side between Rock Springs Road and Vick Road)
  • Nancy Lee Lane
  • Lake Avenue (North of Grossenbacher Drive)

Effective Dates:

Tuesday, March 3, 2020: Garbage pickup will be on Tuesday and Friday instead of Monday and Thursday.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020: Recycling will be picked up on the yellow weeks found on the 2020 recycling calendar.

This will not affect yard trash or bulky pickups. It will also not change those in Unincorporated Orange County (green lid on garbage can). This change is necessary due to faster growth in the Monday and Thursday route areas. Residents will also be receiving a door tag with this information.

If you need a recycling calendar or if you have any questions, please call Public Services at 407-703-1731.
