Apopka Police Department Swearing-in Ceremony
The Apopka Police Department held a Swearing-in Ceremony for two new officers. Welcome aboard Officer Dalton Whigham and Officer Matthew Baker!
Streets Improvement Project
To preserve the few remaining brick streets downtown, the City allocated $50,000 to level these historic streets thereby making them easier to traverse.
Winn-Dixie Grand Opening
Congratulations to Winn-Dixie on their new location in downtown Apopka at the City Center! The 47,000 square-foot facility employs 126 people, 114 of which are new jobs, and provides another shopping option for residents. Welcome to Apopka!
Harmon Road Extension Ribbon-cutting Ceremony
The City, in partnership with AdventHealth Apopka and the Central Florida Expressway Authority, celebrated the opening of the Harmon Road extension which will help provide better access to the hospital and the soon-to-be-built Fire Station 6.
