Independence Day

The City celebrated July 4th with a spectacular fireworks display along with family-friendly activities, food, and music.

Camp Wewa

July included both day camp and overnight camp sessions at Camp Wewa. Campers enjoy an array of activities such as the rock climbing wall!

Apopka Public Safety Youth Academy

High school students participated in the Apopka Public Safety Youth Academy to learn more about Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services in our community as they explore possible career choices.

Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team

The Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team was honored by the City Council for winning the State Championship. Congratulations Coach Campbell, Coach Jenkins and the entire team!

Best Foot Forward

With school starting soon, Best Foot Forward conducted a pedestrian safety campaign at the corner of Tanglewilde and Park to remind drivers to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.

Pet Fashion Show

The Recreation Department hosted a Pet Fashion Show and luncheon for Seniors and their pets. It was a great event enjoyed by all!
