Business Tax Receipt
To conduct business in the City of Apopka, all businesses must pay both a city and a county business tax. This Business Tax Receipt is a tax for the privilege of engaging in business, occupation, or profession within our City.
Some occupations require a State license as well, and we are required to obtain a copy of this license prior to issuing the City's Business Tax Receipt.
Some businesses cannot be approved in certain locations. The permitted use table in the Land Development Code shall be adhered to. Please check with the City of Apopka Planning & Zoning Department at 407-703-1712 to confirm your business is allowed in the zoning district in which you are applying.
The City of Apopka will not allow a business to operate using a Post Office Box or a Mailing Center Box as its physical business address. You must either provide a commercial location or a residential location as your physical business address in order to register the business with the City of Apopka.
