CPR / First Aid Classes

The Apopka Fire Department is an authorized training center with the American Heart Association and offers all levels of CPR training to residents and businesses.

Class Information

Please Note: Space is limited and pre-registration is required. 

Available Classes

  • CPR/AED: This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR or AED use to meet a requirement.
  • First Aid: This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First Aid to meet a job, regulatory, or other requirement and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid (Combination): This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR, AED, and/or First Aid to meet a job, regulatory, or other requirement and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (Cost: $75): This course if for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Approximate Class Times

  • 3 Hours for Basic Classes
  • 5 Hours for Combination CPR/AED/First Aid
  • 4.5 Hours for Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Certification Card

Those who successfully complete the course are issued a CPR/AED certification card that is valid for two years.
