The Apopka Fire Department is an authorized training center with the American Heart Association and offers all levels of CPR training to residents and businesses.
Class Information
Please Note: Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Available Classes
CPR/AED: This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR or AED use to meet a requirement.
First Aid: This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First Aid to meet a job, regulatory, or other requirement and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.
CPR/AED/First Aid (Combination): This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR, AED, and/or First Aid to meet a job, regulatory, or other requirement and is seeking an alternative to classroom-based training.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (Cost: $75): This course if for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
Approximate Class Times
3 Hours for Basic Classes
5 Hours for Combination CPR/AED/First Aid
4.5 Hours for Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
Certification Card
Those who successfully complete the course are issued a CPR/AED certification card that is valid for two years.
